Personal Assistant Virtual Assistants VA Tip of the Day: EzineArticles or Other Directory Issues? Managing Your Article Submissions That Reject or Are Deleted
It’s no secret that some people use content spinning tools that often churn out articles in broken English or articles that simply make hardly any sense.
For instance, spinning can result in the turning of the word “auto” into a replacement word of “car,” even when the content is talking about autoresponders (computer programs that automatically answer email directed their way). Thus results when submitting articles like this to directories are most often rejections or deletions.
However, many other people take better care with their content creation, having humans writing it, not tools that scrape and / or spin words from elsewhere. Yet these ethical, hard-working, conscientious people still face rejections and deletions in article directories, often without any explanation or with a generic one, pointing submitters to guidelines that can be pages long, to discover why their content was not accepted.
Top reasons can be anything from the article lacking the minimum word count, to the piece having too many links, to too many spelling and grammar errors, and more. But what if you are as sure as you can be that your article is solid, in tip top shape? What can you do?
Here are some suggestions
- ALWAYS save a copy of your article and track its submission progress on an Excel or other document. And follow up with any rejections or deletions, asking customer support in a nice, professional manner to be advised about what the issue(s) were to lead to the negative action with your content.- Submit a second and even a third article to the same directory that rejected or deleted your first article and see what happens, while submitting a copy of your first one elsewhere, so you aren’t out your hard work.
- Sometimes certain keywords or keyword phrases are not wanted in content by directories. This could be for a variety of reasons like the phrase bringing in undesirable traffic or competing traffic. This is the case with Squidoo, for instance. They have a list of topics that are not accepted. So check, and ask support if this could be an issue.
So don’t stress. Instead, manage or hire help. Growing your article marketing is a process.
