In fact, many bloggers even make a full-time living with the AdSense ads on their blogs. Of course, to make a full-time living through AdSense on your blog, you'll have to have a huge readership. But, you can take a smaller readership and cash in on it to supplement your income.

Google AdSense is easy to set up on your blog. All you have to do is be approved for an account. You cannot seek approval from Google until you have your blog set up and operating, with several entries already made. Keep in mind that if you have not done this, Google will turn you down, which you don't want.

You should also know that it does not cost anything to open a Google AdSense account, but, once again, you simply must have your blog up to Google’s standards in order to be approved.

Let's look more closely at the process now.

Using the control panel at Google AdSense, you can set up your ads to match your blog's colors. This is important. Allowing the AdSense ads to be completely different from your site advertises the fact that each is indeed advertisement, and statistics have shown that this does not work well. The truth is that you want the ads to look like your site's content.

AdSense is remarkably user-friendly. Many people use the AdSense ad code in their blog posts by simply pasting the code in when they do their blog entries.

Others use the AdSense code on the borders of the blog pages, where the navigation links are. Some place the AdSense ad units either at the top or bottom of the blog pages.

You are only allowed to have three ad units per page; therefore, you need to plan well. Be careful not to violate Google’s terms of service, or you will be banned!

Using AdSense, only ads that are relevant to the content on your site are used. Therefore, if you want ads on a specific topic to appear, you will need to use applicable keyword optimization throughout the pages of your site. Also, the name of your blog should include specific keywords, and when you write blog entries, you should strive to use your chosen keywords, as well.

Google’s AdSense tracker, which is accessible from the members' area of your Google AdSense account, should be used to determine how well the ads are doing. This is an easy feature to use and allows you to keep a close eye on the ads and how they perform on your site.

Of course, if your ads don't do well, changes may be in order. You can start by simply placing the code so that the ad units will appear in different places on your page. Also pay attention to the ads that are being shown. Are they relevant to the content of your pages? If not, you need to make some keyword optimization adjustments on your pages.

You can start blogging for cash – Adsense Revenue whether your blog is hosted on your own server, or remotely hosted. For instance, if you have an account for your blog through Blogger at http://www.blogger.com , you can still add the AdSense code to the templates for the blog.
