But what about automating your blog? Is it possible? In a word, "yes." However, you should know upfront that while you can automate much of the bogging process (such as the writing), there will be some things that will have to be done manually.
First, the biggest time consumer bloggers encounter is the writing of the entries. Technically, there are only three possible ways to automate this particular task.
The most acceptable form of automation for writing your entries is to write them in advance. Take a day and write a month’s worth of entries. You could even take a week and write a years worth of entries. Then, all you would need to do would be to copy and paste your entries on the dates that you want them to be blogged.
The second way to automate your blog entries is to have somebody else write them for you. Many large corporations do this, and these bloggers are paid well.
However, in the spirit of blogging, this is frowned on. That doesn’t mean that you can’t do it – it simply means that if you do, you need to keep that information very quiet, or you may be looked down upon in the wide circle of bloggers.
The third option is to use pre-written content that others have written. This is about the same as having someone else to do the writing for you, such as articles.

Blogs are meant to be original. In the grand scheme of things, and in terms of business success, this method of automation is the easiest. Of the three options, your best one is to write your entries well in advance, and just copy and paste them in when you want them to be blogged.
Pinging your blog directories and services can also be automated. This can be done through Ping-O-Matic at http://pingomatic.com . When you enter the URL for your blog, Ping-O-Matic will automatically send a ping to such services as Webblog.com, Feed Burner, Feedster, Technorati, and Syndic8.
The whole process takes less than one minute. All you have to do after finishing your blog entry each day is go to the Ping-O-Matic site and enter your blogs URL, check the services you want to ping, and hit the submit button.
Most blog software and hosted blogging services make maintenance of your blog easily automated. This can usually be done under the "settings" option. You can block certain domains, block bad language, and even ping blog services when you have posted to your blog. This will all save you a great deal of time when it comes to other people’s comments on your blogs.
Most recently, automation software that works hand-in-hand with blog software has been introduced. For instance, software that automates Word Press is available at http://www.wordpress-content.com .
However, there is no guarantee that ANY software will do what you need it to do 100% of the time, so it's important that you manually post and check your blogs once in a while.
Too often, people feel that they have to write a post that is book length when they blog. This isn’t true. Some of the best bloggers only write one paragraph a day – and as mentioned earlier, most of that is written well in advance – unless it is breaking news.
